This is a short message to let you know that from 24/6/2021 our standard fees for a telephone or video consultations will increase, to fall in line with our standard fees for face-to-face consults.
Your Medicare rebate, at present, remains the same for either face-to-face or telehealth (phone / video) consultations, hence the gap fee will now be the same for each method of consulting.
We understand that telehealth has been very useful for our clients and patients, particularly now that we have the ability to send prescriptions and referrals electronically. However, we do need to cover our practice costs, including IT and administration, and this fee increase will allow us to continue to provide this service sustainably.
